National LEGI Forum Dinner
Carl was invited to be the after dinner speaker at the National LEGI (Local Enterprise Growth Initiatives) Forum Dinner. LEGI is the government funded regeneration initiative which aims to develop enterprise, create jobs and boost prosperity in some of the most deprived areas across the city.
"We were pretty excited about having Carl speak for us at the National LEGI Forum dinner and I'm pleased to say he didn't disappoint. His presentation was humorous, real and inspiring. He held the audience's attention throughout and I particularly liked how he made reference by name to the three entrepreneurs in the audience, which I know made them feel very special. I look forward to working together on future projects. Thanks for a great presentation, what a story!Kalpna Mistry,

Carl’s role as an ambassador sees him speaking at Make Your Mark events and supporting campaign activities in a bid to inspire the next generation of enterprising young people and embed an enterprise culture across the UK.
“Thank you so much for agreeing to become a Make Your Mark ambassador and being our keynote speaker at the launch of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009 yesterday at Cedar Court Hotel.
“The feedback we received was extremely positive particularly from the young entrepreneurs that were present who felt inspired and positive about their futures. I also appreciated your frankness which was refreshing and will have provoked some critical reflection amongst our partners in the business support and education sectors.”

Sarah Underwood, Teaching Fellow

Carl delivered a presentation on ‘marketing yourself’ to members of the Leeds Creative Network at his former college.
“Thank you very much for such a passionate and ****ing funny presentation of your top tips to our network. The feedback has been very good indeed. The sheets I collected said “excellent – energetic – inspiring - good atmosphere - excellent speaker - great event - lots of positive steps starting from NOW - sound advice - Brill”
The audience obviously had a good time and were hanging on your every word. I particularly liked your well illustrated presentation and, of course, the stories which bring good advice to life.
Many, many thanks Carl. It was delightful to meet you and I am sure it will remain one of our most memorable events.”

“A BIG THANKYOU from me and the team at University of Huddersfield Business School … our students are really buzzing about the lecture. It’s clear we need to add more expletives to our text book approach and a lot more heart! They will remember many of the things you said long after they’ve vacated the classroom - as will I.”
